Fantastic Boot for all Army needs. Lightweight and sturdy and most of all comfortable in any field environment/ruck. True to size in my case. Only problem I had is it is difficult to tuck in the laces given they are thicker than normal ones and they become untucked rather easily if moving around a lot. Basically you can't just shove the excess laces into the boot to get them to stay but this is very minor and can be worked around.

I love these shoes!! The 9.81 Heli is one of the best shoes I have worn for being on the concrete all day. Great support, super light and I have zero feet fatigue after 20K steps a day. I would recommend this shoe to anyone!

Best boots I have owned with one caveat: I buy all my shoes and boots in 10 wide. My feet are different shaped but this is the only pair of footwear I had to modify the right boot by swapping out a thinner insole, as the factory insole was crushing my foot against the top of the boot even with laces loosened. With the thinner insole and some breaking in they fit great. The laces that come with them are starting to fray a little bit as the laces must be loosened manually to take the boots off. No quick release or zippers here. Still would buy again for comfort and light weight hiking boots.

Worst customer service ever. Took forever to respond to emails and to get a refund. Plus you have to pay to ship back your purchase. Never again I’ll buy from here.

Thank you for this review. I greatly apologize for your experience. We at Garmont strive to provide the best customer service. Unfortunately, sometimes there are delays with the process which are out of our hands. We do our very best though to get the returns closed and processed in a timely manner but please note there are delays sometimes- either with the warehouse or with processing the refund as the whole process start to finish is done manually and is not automatically done in the system like other large companies / retailers. After we process the refund, it is in the bank’s hands to release the funds back onto the account. We recommend the typical time frame of 2-3 business days from the time we process the refund but depending on the bank and their process, it could take shorter or longer. Sometimes it can take up to a full week for them to release the funds. If the return does not show up, we highly recommend reaching out to your bank. We will be more than happy to provide any documentation needed to show this was refunded. Thank you.

These are literally THE BEST pair of boots I've ever had since my military career started. Not too tight around the ankles and these are really great for my wider and flat feet. Well done and I will definitely recommend to other customers.

Quick shipping, great product. My daughter is in ROTC, the standard boots that she was given were giving her blisters, these were recommended, first day of wearing and she is very happy (and so are her feet).

The boot is so light and unobtrusive to my activities that I genuinely love the boots compared to my initial issue boots. By comparison in technology, craftsmanship, and success in comfort a good analogy would be to compare Frankenstein and The Hulk Buster Iron man suit. Both are commendable achievements but the Hulk Buster suit stands alone

Order got sent back due to an error at the post office. Reached out to Garmont and was told that it would be resent. 07OCT2022 was when I reached out and still have not received shipping information. Very disappointed and boots are needed for work.

The quality of boots is really high. The leather is high quality and water resistant, and the boots lace smoothly. I have had a really hard time finding the right size though, and because of the lack of a proper sizing guide I have bought and returned 3 pairs of boots so far, and may need to return the other two pairs I just ordered. It would be really nice if dimensions were provided for each of the styles of boots. I will say that the website's filtering capabilities make it very easy to find the kind of boots that you need (especially AR 670-1) without having to look through all of them.

Thank you for your review. We see your return was accepted and processed. I see you mentioned a bend in the heel in your review. This was not disclosed in the return request. Please note that we do have a warranty policy which is good for one year from the date of purchase. The bend could have been considered a defect and the boots would have been replaced free of charge. If you ever have trouble with the boots like this again, please let us know right away and we can begin a warranty evaluation. As for sizing, we recommend ordering your everyday shoe size. If you are a half size, we will typically recommend going up to the next full size. Please note, our wide boots are considered an E width.
